Getting started — simple, secure setup

Setting up Ledger Live takes a few minutes and a couple of simple steps. The app guides you to initialize your Ledger device, create or recover a recovery phrase, and add accounts for the coins you want to manage.

1. Install Ledger Live on your computer or mobile device and open the app.
2. Initialize your device or connect an existing Ledger. Confirm the device model on screen and follow the on-device prompts.
3. Secure your recovery phrase — write it down on the provided sheet and store it offline in a safe place; never share it digitally.
4. Add accounts inside Ledger Live for each blockchain you use (Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana, etc.).
5. Manage & transact — send, receive, stake, swap and monitor performance.
